Heat Wave: Samsung’s Memory Chips Too Hot for NVIDIA?

Reports have emerged that Samsung Electronics has yet to pass the test to supply High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) to NVIDIA.

On May 24, Reuters cited multiple sources, stating that overheating and power consumption of Samsung’s HBM were becoming an issue.

While avoiding specific mention, Samsung Electronics conveyed to Reuters that it is closely cooperating with its customers, stating that an optimization process is necessary for HBM to meet the needs of its customers.
