Following actor Kim Soo Hyun’s press conference where he denied allegations of having an underage relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron, the YouTube channel Gaseyeon (Garosero Research Institute) has released new evidence to counter his claims.
On Monday, the YouTube channel Gaseyeon aired a live broadcast titled “Kim Soo Hyun’s Alleged Underage Relationship: New Footage Released.”
During the broadcast, Kim Se Ui, a spokesperson for Gaseyeon, revealed, “When Kim Soo Hyun’s team announced they would hold a press conference, Kim Sae Ron’s family and their lawyer suggested we withhold the video, hoping for a genuine apology. I firmly refused.”
He continued, “We’ve acquired five Kim Sae Ron’s phones and four laptops. She saved everything, and we have captured it all.”
Kim Se Ui further claimed that, after forensically analyzing Kim Sae Ron’s phone, a video filmed on June 20, 2018, was found. The footage, which was reportedly taken at Kim Sae Ron’s home, shows actor Kim Soo Hyun eating.
In the video, Kim Sae Ron asks Kim Soo Hyun, “How is it? Hurry up and eat,” to which he responds evasively. Later, when the washing machine alarm goes off, Kim Soo Hyun hastily leaves the table, prompting Kim Sae Ron to laugh and say, “Unbelievable.”
Kim Se Ui pointed out a bottle, which he claimed was soju, on the table in the video. He argued that this indicated Kim Soo Hyun was drinking with Kim Sae Ron, a minor, in what he described as an inappropriate soju date.
Kim Se Ui also emphasized, “The bereaved family wants everything to be released, but we will reveal it little by little. We hope Kim Soo Hyun will apologize.”
In addition, Gaseyeon released several clips, including one of a man believed to be Kim Soo Hyun singing the soundtrack from the drama The Moon Embracing the Sun, footage of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron on a ski resort date, and a video of Kim Sae Ron sleeping.
On the same day, Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference at the Stanford Hotel in Seoul’s Mapo District.
During the conference, Kim Soo Hyun addressed the allegations, stating, “The late actress and I dated for a year, five years ago,” directly refuting claims of an underage relationship with Kim Sae Ron.
