BTS’ V Steals the Hearts of Fans With an Inside Look of His Military Life

James Yoo Views

V, a member of the globally popular boy band BTS, who enlisted in the military in December of last year, is currently serving as a military police officer in the Ssangyong Unit of the 2nd Infantry Division in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.

Recently, images of him in his military uniform were released, prompting fans to comment that even his military life looks like a scene from a movie.

On June 9, Lee Ji Young of Big Mama shared a surprise meeting with V on her Instagram account.

Lee explained, “Today, after the Chuncheon Battlefield Remembrance Festa, a handsome soldier greeted me. I looked to see who it was and it turned out to be V from BTS.”

She continued, “I’ve always seen his amazing performances on stage, but I didn’t know he was this gentle off stage. He looks even cooler in his uniform,” and shared the video of their encounter.

V was reportedly on patrol duty in support of the 2024 Veterans Culture Festival Chuncheon Battlefield Remember Festa held from the 7th to the 9th.

In the video, V, dressed in his black uniform, introduces himself to Lee Ji Young, saying, “I’m V from BTS,” and adds, “I came to see you while I was on patrol.”

When Lee responds, “You look even more handsome in your uniform,” V shakes her hand, bows at a 90-degree angle, and says, “I have to go back on patrol, but I hope to see you again,” before saluting.

Fans are responding enthusiastically to the update on V, commenting, “It’s good to see him doing well,” “He looks amazing in his black uniform,” and “His good looks shine through his hat.”

Meanwhile, V is expected to be discharged from the military on June 10, 2025.
