Hollywood actress Chloe Moretz has publicly come out as gay.
Moretz shared a photo on Instagram on Saturday showing herself holding her voting ballot and captioning it, “I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris.”
In her post, Moretz emphasized, “TI believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us.”
She continued, saying, “I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman. We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.”
Moretz also encouraged her followers to get involved, urging them to “make plans to go to the polls with your friends.”
While Moretz has long been a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, this marks the first time she has publicly revealed her own sexual identity. She has two gay brothers.
Chloe Moretz was previously in a relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of former soccer star David Beckham. In 2018, she was spotted kissing Kate Harrison, which sparked rumors about her sexuality.
