SM Entertainment has officially introduced its newest girl group, Hearts2Hearts, marking its first girl group debut since the highly successful aespa five years ago.

The eight-member group is SM’s first girl group to feature more than eight members since Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007.

Hearts2Hearts officially debuted on Monday at Seoul’s YES24 Live Hall, showcasing its title track, “The Chase,” to an excited crowd in the Gwangjin district.

The members of Hearts2Hearts include Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuha, Stella, Juun, A Na, Ian, and Ye-on, all teenagers between 14 and 18 years old.

With SM celebrating its 30th anniversary, anticipation for Hearts2Hearts is incredibly high.

The group has cited Girls’ Generation as its main inspiration. Leader Jiwoo shared, “The Girls’ Generation members are our role models. We hope to emulate how their charms came together to create something even greater.”

Ian added, “As much as we’ve received support, we’ll work hard to become SM’s ‘future.'”

Its debut track, “The Chase,” was produced by Kenzie, known for his work on many hits, including aespa’s chart-topping “Supernova.”

Addressing the potential rivalry with Starship Entertainment’s soon-to-debut girl group, KiiiKiii, Jiwoo commented, “I believe we can positively influence each other. We’re focused on developing our own musical identity.”

The group is already making waves in the music industry. They’ve been selected as the face of the Musinsa promotional campaign and have also announced exciting collaborations with popular brands like Hachuping and Mega Coffee.

Jiwoo reflected, “Rather than burdened by the attention, we’re more grateful. We’re determined to repay this support with our dedication and hard work.”
