Kim Sae Ron’s friends are reportedly preparing to release a statement following Kim Soo Hyun’s recent press conference. During the conference, Kim Soo Hyun once again denied having had a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
The press conference was covered in a segment of Case File 24 on TV Chosun, aired on Tuesday. The segment focused on Kim Soo Hyun’s statement addressing the ongoing allegations he made during the press conference on Monday.

In the Case File 24 broadcast, a lawyer representing Kim Sae Ron’s family said they had hoped for a heartfelt apology from Kim Soo Hyun. However, they were disappointed to find no such apology directed at the family.
The lawyer also disclosed that at least eight of Kim Sae Ron’s friends were aware of her relationship with Kim Soo Hyun from her minor years. These frustrated friends are reportedly drafting a statement, which could be made public depending on the circumstances.
After watching Kim Soo Hyun’s press conference, the family expressed their disappointment, saying, “It would have been better if he had at least acknowledged having feelings for her when she was a minor but clarified that the relationship only became serious after she turned 18. We don’t understand why he’s denying everything.”
On Monday, Kim Soo Hyun held an emergency press conference at the Stanford Hotel in the Mapo district of Seoul to address various allegations surrounding himself and Kim Sae Ron. During the press conference, he reiterated his stance: “I did not date Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. We only started seeing each other after she became an adult. I cannot claim a lie as the truth due to pressure. I will prove this.”
Kim Soo Hyun further stated that the KakaoTalk messages Kim Sae Ron’s family presented were distorted. He also explained that he had no choice but to deny the relationship because there were many factors he needed to protect.
Additionally, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team has filed a defamation lawsuit against Kim Sae Ron’s family, an unidentified individual claiming to be her close aunt, and the operators of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute. They are seeking a total of 12 billion won (roughly $8.2 million) in damages.
