BoA has apologized for making an inappropriate remark during a live broadcast while drinking with Jun Hyun Moo.

On Monday, BoA posted an apology on the fan community platform Weverse, saying, “I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable because of my thoughtless words and immature behavior.”

BoA also stated, “I have personally apologized to Park Na Rae for my inappropriate comment made in her absence, and I thank her for her understanding.”

She added, “I’m sorry for disappointing my fans who have supported and loved me for so long. This incident has made me reflect on myself, and moving forward, I’ll be more mindful of how my words and actions affect others. I’m committed to showing a more mature side of myself.”

The controversy started with a live stream on Saturday at Jun Hyun Moo’s house. BoA responded dismissively when a viewer mentioned dating rumors between Jun Hyun Moo and Park Rae. BoA said, “I don’t think they’re dating.”

Jun Hyun Moo, flustered, said, “Before I could even answer…” to which BoA firmly responded, “They can’t be dating.” When Jun Hyun Moo asked, “Why? Is Park Na-rae not good enough?” BoA replied, “No. You’re the one who’s too good for her.”

Later, when Jun Hyun Moo expressed concern and asked if everything would be okay, BoA casually replied, “I don’t care.” Jun Hyun Moo commented, “Wow, she’s really letting loose now.”

During the broadcast, BoA also showed physical affection toward Jun Hyun Moo, leaning on his shoulder and playfully touching his face.

Fans criticized BoA’s behavior, calling her comments about Jun Hyun Moo and Park Na Rae “careless” and “disappointing,” and demanded an apology.
