On Tuesday, Nana greeted fans through the fan communication platform Bubble, writing, “The sun was so beautiful when I woke up—it made me feel good.”

However, when a user commented, “But how could you insult Kim Sunwoo?” Nana responded firmly: “This is a space for me to connect with fans who love and support me.” She added, “Leaving a message like this here doesn’t seem right. I hope you will refrain from doing so,” expressing discomfort and trying to prevent further escalation.

Earlier, Sunwoo, a member of the K-pop boy group THE BOYZ, sparked controversy after a video circulated showing him dropping his wireless earphones, waiting for a bodyguard to pick them up, and taking them back with one hand, without showing any expression. The clip raised concerns about his demeanor.

Nana had commented on the video, saying, “He needs to be scolded,” and “You can tell a lot from one thing.” These remarks prompted backlash from some fans.

Fans of THE BOYZ flocked to Nana’s social media, saying it was rash to judge someone based on a brief clip and demanding an apology. In response, Nana once again addressed the issue on Bubble.

She clarified, “It’s wrong to judge someone based solely on a short video. But I didn’t label or make assumptions about who he is—I just thought the behavior shown in that clip was extremely disrespectful and shocking.”

She continued, “Anyone can end up in a situation that causes misunderstanding. That’s why I watched the video over and over again. I don’t know who he is, but if someone next to me behaved like that, I would have said the same thing: ‘He needs to be scolded.’ And also, ‘Where did you learn to behave like that?'”

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Sunwoo expressed his frustration through the fan platform From, but his remarks were met with a chilly response.

His agency eventually issued an official apology, but public sentiment did not settle easily. On Monday, Sunwoo also posted a personal apology on social media. However, some fans of THE BOYZ continue to criticize Nana and demand an apology from her.
