K-pop girl group NewJeans has again reaffirmed its global popularity by achieving a major milestone at one of Japan’s most prestigious music award ceremonies.
“Ditto,” a track from the group’s single OMG, earned the title Best K-Pop Song in Japan at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025, held on Wednesday in Kyoto. NewJeans consists of members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

Winners are selected based on objective indicators from Billboard Japan and Oricon and votes from over 5,000 music professionals.
The fact that “Ditto,” released on December 19, 2022, won an award more than two years and five months later, highlights the song’s enduring influence and the lasting power of NewJeans’ music.
