On Wednesday, shortly after his official discharge on Monday, Ko Woo Rim shared a meticulously arranged photo on social media featuring his uniform, hat, and commendation certificates.

The uniform, far from a simple military item, resembled a work of art filled with treasured memories. On the left chest was a vivid pink embroidered message reading “Woo Rim♥Yuna,” while the right side was adorned with colorful names and encouragements from his military bandmates, evoking deep sentiment.

The front of the cap, in particular, stood out with a humorous touch: a muscle-themed golden patch and unit insignia embroidered in thread, reflecting a playful yet loyal personality. This “art-piece-level” uniform, filled with loyalty, character, and love, captivated fans.

In a message to his fan community, Ko wrote, “May 2025 — the day that felt like it would never come is finally here,” adding, “I’m deeply grateful to my team members who held things down and to Kim Yuna, to whom I can’t express my gratitude enough.”

Kim Yuna quietly showed her affection by liking the post on Instagram.

Ko Woo Rim further reflected in a long post on social media: “There were moments of frustration and difficulty from not being free, but within those moments were personal struggles and lessons that could only be experienced through that process,” expressing the growth he underwent during his military life.

He continued, “Having always been used to being the youngest, I was initially awkward in dealing with those younger than me. But I got to try being the oldest, giving advice, feeling a new sense of responsibility… and surprisingly, I enjoyed that role more than I expected,” sharing his thoughts on the new experiences he had in the military.

Netizens reacted enthusiastically with comments like, “This is basically a love letter,” “The gold standard of enduring long-distance love,” “How could Kim Yuna not fall for him?” and “A wedding vow stitched into a uniform.”

After marrying in 2022, Ko Woo Rim enlisted in November 2023 as a military band member in the ROK Army and served faithfully for about 18 months. With his discharge, all members of Forestella are now veterans and can promote as a complete group once again.

Ko concluded his message with anticipation for the future: “I’m now preparing to return to my original place and embrace a new beginning. I’ll greet you again, with a deeper version of myself.”
