Aoi Sora, a well-known former Japanese adult film (AV) actress, has recently shared her thoughts on the prostitution allegations involving Ju Hak Nyeon, a member of The Boyz, and Japanese AV actress Asuka Kirara.
On Tuesday, Aoi Sora took to her social media accounts to address the controversy, posting the message, “AV actresses are not prostitutes,” in both Japanese and Korean. Her statement was a direct response to the growing rumors and public scrutiny surrounding the situation.

In a follow-up, Aoi Sora elaborated on her views, stating, “The mistake was the behavior that led to the leak of such suspicious photos.” She also questioned, “Why target AV actresses specifically? What’s the deal with the status of AV actresses?”
Her comments seem to target not Asuka Kirara, but rather the societal stereotypes and double standards faced by individuals working in the adult entertainment industry. Aoi Sora’s remarks highlight the stigma often attached to AV performers, despite their roles in a legal and professional industry.
The Allegations and Responses from the Parties Involved
The controversy first erupted in May when it was revealed that Ju Hak Nyeon had met privately with Asuka Kirara. Following this revelation, Ju Hak Nyeon was removed from The Boyz, one of the top K-pop groups.
The situation quickly escalated after reports surfaced suggesting that Ju Hak Nyeon had paid Asuka Kirara for sex. This led to a formal legal complaint being filed against him for allegedly violating South Korea’s Prostitution Law.
Ju Hak Nyeon strongly denied the allegations, stating, “It’s true I had a drink with Asuka Kirara, but there were no illegal activities such as prostitution.”
Asuka Kirara also refuted the claims, saying, “I have never accepted money in exchange for sex in my life.”
The Legal Dispute Unfolds
Following the scandal, Ju Hak Nyeon’s agency, One Hundred, reportedly terminated his exclusive contract and demanded a significant compensation fee of 2 billion KRW (approximately 1.5 million USD).
Ju Hak Nyeon has since initiated legal action against the agency, claiming that the termination of his contract and the compensation demands are unjust. He has also filed lawsuits against the media outlets that spread the prostitution allegations, seeking to clear his name.
