Katy and Orlando End Their Romance, Stay United for Daughter Daisy

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially gone their separate ways after nearly a decade together.

On Thursday, People exclusively reported the couple’s breakup. The two had been together for nine years, including a five-year engagement. Despite parting ways romantically, they remain committed to co-parenting their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, whom they’ve made their top priority.

People reported that, according to a source close to the couple, they have faced significant challenges together and ultimately decided to part ways. However, the source noted that mutual respect remains, and the pair has committed to maintaining an amicable relationship for the sake of their daughter’s well-being.

A 9-Year Journey: From Engagement to Parenthood to Separation

Katy and Orlando’s relationship first made headlines in 2016. On Valentine’s Day in 2019, Orlando proposed in a romantic gesture that Katy later recounted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, recalling how he “dropped down on one knee, whipped out a stunning diamond ring.”

In March 2020, Katy surprised fans by revealing her pregnancy in the music video for “Never Worn White.” That August, they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove. Since becoming a mother, Katy has frequently spoken about how motherhood has transformed her life, describing it as the greatest change she has ever experienced.

Final Family Moments in Australia

In the weeks leading up to their breakup, Orlando joined Katy in Australia during her Lifetimes Tour. While there, he reportedly spent meaningful one-on-one time with Daisy.

According to a source cited by People, Orlando was prioritizing quality time with his daughter. He had fully embraced his role as a father in the period leading up to the split.

Orlando also shares a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. Following the split, he is expected to remain actively involved in the lives of both his children.

Insiders say cracks in Katy and Orlando’s relationship had been evident for some time.

A source indicated that the relationship had naturally come to an end, with growing differences creating a divide that ultimately proved too difficult to bridge. In the end, the source said, they made the decision they felt was best for both of them.

Although the couple never officially tied the knot, their long engagement and family bond earned them widespread support from fans. In the end, rather than a storybook ending, they chose a mature, respectful parting of ways.

As Katy continues touring, Orlando is reportedly focused on upcoming film projects and his role as a hands-on parent.
