A Korean man was arrested in Hanoi, Vietnam on suspicion of murdering a Korean woman who shared a hotel room with him.
On June 2nd (local time), Vietnamese media, VN Express reported that the Vietnam People’s Public Security had arrested Mr. Lee for murder the previous afternoon and is currently under investigation.
According to the report, Mr. Lee had checked into the hotel with the victim around 1 PM on May 30.
They reportedly got into an argument when the victim refused the suspect’s sexual demands.
The argument lasted about 10 minutes, during which Mr. Lee allegedly strangled the victim to death.
After the crime, Mr. Lee fled the scene and took the elevator to the 65th floor, intending to end his life. However, he was stopped by a security guard and was later arrested by the police who responded to the security guard’s report.
