Taiwan Goes Gaga Over Nvidia CEO: Woman Gets Autograph on Her Chest

Christine Jung Views

Taiwan is abuzz with the popularity of Jensen Huang, the Taiwanese-American CEO of Nvidia, who hails from the island.

So much so that one woman even made headlines for getting his autograph on her chest.

On July 7, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported that Jensen Huang’s popularity is par with global pop star Taylor Swift.

According to the report, he attended the IT conference Computex 2024 in Taiwan from July 4 to July 7.

With the AI boom on Wall Street, Jensen Huang has risen to prominence as the “Godfather of AI.”

Huang further boosts his popularity by freely interacting with fans during his visit to Taiwan.

In one instance, a woman wearing a tank top with her chest exposed asked for an autograph on her chest. Huang asked, “Are you serious?” and then signed her tank top when she confirmed, “I am.”

This woman shared a photo of the autograph on Instagram, writing, “Today, my wish came true. It’s a day filled with adrenaline. I shook hands with the ‘Godfather of AI,’ who signed my phone case and clothes. I think I’m going to have great luck this year.”

As the woman’s tank top autograph became a hot topic, one netizen wagered, “I bet her tank top could sell for $500,000.”

However, some have criticized Huang, suggesting he should refuse the woman’s request.

Despite this, SCMP reported that Jensen Huang’s popularity remains unaffected and that his tour will continue.

Meanwhile, Jensen Huang, who always wears a black leather jacket, is known for emulating Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple Inc., who always wore blue jeans and a black turtleneck.

At an event held at the National Taiwan University on July 2, he drew attention for sticking to his leather jacket despite the hot weather.
