Inmate Becomes Pregnant and Gives Birth Without Sexual Intercourse: A Shocking Case from a Florida Prison

Christine Jung Views

A shocking story has emerged about a male and female inmate in a U.S. prison who became pregnant and gave birth without any sexual intercourse.

According to reports from foreign media, including the Daily Mail, 29-year-old Daisy Link, who is serving time at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Florida, gave birth to a daughter in June.

The shocking part is that Link had been incarcerated in solitary confinement for about two years without bail due to charges of her boyfriend’s murder.

Link, who had never left the prison, managed to become pregnant and give birth without any sexual contact.

A male inmate on the lower floor transmitted his semen through a ventilation duct.

Reports indicate that Link became pregnant last October without any physical contact with anyone. She welcomed a healthy baby girl at an external hospital on June 19.

The correctional authorities were stunned by this unbelievable incident. Link’s family has also demanded an investigation, questioning whether she was sexually assaulted.

Genetic testing revealed that the father of Link’s child is 23-year-old Juan Diasgranados, who is also incarcerated on murder charges in the same prison but on a different floor. The two had never met or engaged in sexual relations.

It turns out that Link and Diasgranados communicated through the ventilation duct and exchanged letters and photos, eventually falling in love. Diasgranados expressed his desire to have a child one day, and Link readily agreed.

In an unbelievable twist, the couple devised a method to achieve pregnancy without any physical contact. Diasgranados used a rope made from bed sheets to send his semen in a plastic bag through the ventilation system. Link then injected the sperm into her body, using the prison’s limited privacy to carry out the procedure.

This extraordinary arrangement continued for a month, with Diasgranados sending his sperm five times a day. Against all odds, Link became pregnant, and both referred to the baby as their miracle baby.

A specialist from a Miami infertility center, commenting on the situation, said, “Their method had less than a 5% chance of resulting in pregnancy,” calling the case “extremely rare and highly unusual.”

The baby, now five months old, is reportedly raised by Diasgranados’s mother. Despite the unusual and controversial nature of the pregnancy, the couple’s extraordinary story has raised important questions about prison security, inmate safety, and the ethical issues surrounding such a bizarre situation.

This extraordinary case has shocked prison officials and prompted an outcry from the public. As authorities continue to investigate, questions remain about how such an incident could occur without detection. Link’s family has demanded answers, and the public continues to debate the circumstances surrounding this unprecedented and unbelievable event.
