A female influencer with 3 million followers became the target of a robbery during a live stream from her vehicle.
The Daily Mail reported last week that Micaela Ybañez, a popular Argentine influencer with over 3 million followers on Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, and X (formerly Twitter), was streaming live the previous day.
Ybañez was returning from Christmas shopping in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when she started a live stream to communicate with her fans, accompanied by her friend Nico Acosta.
Two Robbers Invaded the Vehicle, Snatched Her Phone from the Dashboard
The incident unfolded during the live stream. Footage shows two men on a motorcycle approaching Ybañez’s vehicle.
They broke the driver’s side window, grabbed the phone from the dashboard, and with it.
While the phone’s camera captured the robbers, their faces were covered by helmets. The robbers fled the scene on their motorcycle.
The live stream continued for several seconds after the phone was stolen, inadvertently live-streaming the robbery.
Fans were worried about Ybañez, but she reassured them via social media, stating, “I got minor injuries from the broken glass, but I’m not seriously hurt.”
The video has gone viral, reaching over 2 million views. However, some skeptics have questioned the incident’s authenticity, suggesting it might have been staged.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea, Argentina is currently classified as a level 2 country, where travelers should exercise increased caution. This is due to deteriorating security conditions caused by the ongoing economic downturn.
