A British woman was arrested early Christmas morning after attempting to engage in sexual activity with her partner in the lobby of a hotel in Pattaya, a popular tourist destination in Thailand.

According to a report by The Sun, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the Flipper Lodge Hotel. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody after she and her partner were caught engaging in inappropriate behavior in the hotel lobby.

Reports indicate the couple was on a sofa when they climbed onto a glass table, causing it to topple and break. Hotel staff, who reportedly heard the sound of the glass breaking, quickly intervened to stop the couple. The hotel is planning to seek compensation for the damages.

A hotel spokesperson stated, “The two individuals were not registered guests at our property. It appears they entered the premises while our staff was preoccupied with other tasks and engaged in this behavior.”

At the time of her arrest, the woman was reportedly intoxicated. She resisted police attempts to take her into custody, reportedly using profanity. Meanwhile, it appears her partner fled the scene before authorities arrived.

The woman was transported to Pattaya Police Station for questioning, but local authorities have stated that she remains in no condition to be interviewed due to her intoxicated state. Police also confirmed that she had no identification, making it difficult to verify her identity.

“She was heavily intoxicated when arrested,” said a police spokesperson. “We will proceed with the investigation once she sobers up.”
