Another celebrity couple is headed down the aisle. Bang Minah, best known as a former member of Girl’s Day, and On Joo Wan are getting married this November.

MyDaily broke the story on Friday, reporting that the singer-turned-actress and her longtime partner will tie the knot later this year. The announcement surprised many fans and industry insiders alike, as the couple had not previously made their relationship public.

Minah and On Joo Wan first met in 2016 while filming the romantic comedy Beautiful Gong Shim. At the time, they shared a friendly working relationship. However, the two grew closer in 2021 when they reunited for the stage musical “The Days.” Their connection deepened further last year, when On Joo Wan supported Minah through the loss of her father, reportedly staying by her side throughout the funeral.

While the couple never formally confirmed their relationship, sources in the entertainment industry say their romance had become an open secret among insiders. “On Joo Wan has been a steady presence in Minah’s life,” one insider shared. “They’ve been dating for quite some time and decided that now is the right moment to take the next step.”

Another industry source added, “They share a deep passion for acting, which has helped strengthen their bond over the years. Their relationship is built on mutual respect, trust, and years of shared experiences.”

On Joo Wan’s agency, Haewadal Entertainment, confirmed the news in an official statement on Friday. “After a sincere and meaningful relationship, On Joo Wan and Bang Minah have decided to spend their lives together,” the statement read. “The wedding will be held privately this November, with only close family and friends in attendance. We appreciate your understanding and ask for your warm support as they begin this new chapter.”

The agency also noted that On Joo Wan plans to continue his acting career after the wedding.

Minah rose to fame in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day. She later branched into acting, gaining attention with her lead role in the drama series Beautiful Gong Shim. Since then, she’s appeared in several dramas, including My Absolute Boyfriend (SBS) and Delivery Man (TVING).

With her upcoming wedding, Minah becomes the second Girl’s Day member to tie the knot, following Sojin, who married actor Lee Dong Ha in 2023.

On Joo Wan, meanwhile, began his acting career in the early 2000s, first appearing in the SBS historical drama Rustic Period. He later gained broader recognition through the KBS reality series Wars of the Roses and went on to star in films such as Flying Boys, The Taste of Money, and Obsessed. On the small screen, he’s known for his roles in popular Korean dramas, including Punch and The Penthouse: War in Life.

Most recently, On Joo Wan returned to the stage in Mahagonny, marking his first musical performance in three years.
