A Canadian woman, Tina, has gone viral after revealing her method of losing 36 kilograms (about 79 pounds) without ever signing up for a gym.
On Wednesday, she posted a video on her TikTok account sharing her weight loss secrets, which has garnered over 4.3 million views.
Tina emphasized that changing her thoughts about food was the key to her weight loss success. She recommended unfollowing food-related accounts on social media, explaining that mukbang-style content—videos of people eating—can trigger unnecessary snacking or binge eating.

Another important method Tina used was walking. She noted that instead of paying for a pricey gym membership, she simply walked anywhere and everywhere. She recommended walking briskly for at least 30 minutes a day, or even just 10 to 20 minutes if time is limited.
She also advised reducing time spent sitting on the sofa and increasing daily movement through activities like walking or doing household chores.
Diet control was another crucial element. To reduce her food intake, Tina curbed her cravings for snacks like chips by drinking sparkling water or zero-calorie beverages before meals. She explained that drinking before eating increases feelings of fullness, naturally decreasing food intake. She also emphasized the importance of drinking water frequently throughout the day.
Walking is considered one of the easiest forms of cardio, particularly effective at preventing obesity by engaging the lower body muscles. However, it must be done with proper posture to maximize its benefits. Tina recommends keeping the back straight, head held high, arms swinging naturally, eyes looking 10–15 meters ahead, and stepping from heel to toe. The ideal pace makes your forehead begin to sweat.
Tina’s weight loss journey is now inspiring many people, showing that managing one’s weight healthily is possible without a gym membership or special medications.
